Over 36 years ago, two nurses from the Queen Elizabeth Geriatric Centre (now part of Ballarat Health Services, one of Australia's leading public health care providers) recognised the need for a service to support people living independently in the home and thus Safety Link was established to deliver this service.
This presented Safety Link with the opportunity to provide assistance to elderly people or anyone living alone by supplying a simple and reliable way to keep connected to family, friends and others who can help them in an emergency. Safety Link was one of the founding members of PERSA (Personal Emergency Response Service Association).
Safety Link implements its values of compassion, integrity, respect, excellence, team work, accountability and collaboration when delivering its quality service.
With Safety Link, you can immediately summon assistance 24-hours a day, 7 days a week via simple, press-of-a-button access and Safety Link is staffed by highly experienced, caring and professional people so it is comforting to know there is always someone available no matter what time of day to support those who need assistance.
Safety Link's mission is to continue to provide national, quality personal response solutions encouraging confidence, security, safety and independence.
